Can register in California - YAY!

The West Hollywood DMV was exceptionally helpful with registering my Seven.  They only do registration work and are well versed in SB100.  The BAR Referee at LA Trade Tech College in downtown LA was also extremely helpful, as was the CHP VIN Assignment/Verification Officer in Santa Fe Springs.

My Seven is a bit unusual, as it is based on an Arch Motors built S3 Lotus or early Caterham replacement chassis, a mix of used and replacement Lotus parts, a few Caterham pieces, and my own fabrication. For the BAR inspection, I build a full closed loop PCV system for a dry sump Ford Crossflow with dual Weber side drafts.

Good info, thanks! I'm about two years away from registering (I hope...).

Did you end up at that DMV by luck, or did someone refer you there?

I found the West Hollywood DMV mostly by luck and trial and error.  The DMV’s I contacted in West LA (near my house) and Pasadena had little knowledge of SB100. I visited the West Hollywood DMV because they specialize in registration and have been continuously impressed with their knowledge and helpfulness.
