Croc Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Petersen Museum had an event last weekend. Two se7ens appear in their instagram feed. The Birkin looks like @papak Not sure of the other? 1
papak Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 The other 7 is a very nice Caterham owned by Bruce Hand. Around 960 lbs. with a 260 hp Cosworth. The man is a true craftsman. The event was very nice but remarkably, not a single XKE!

papak Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Yes they are and absolutely flawless up close. He had them done by a fellow in OC. Bruce even fabricated aluminum DeDion arms himself. Arch wouldn’t make them for him.
Nick OTeen Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 If I'm not mistaken, the "fellow in OC" is Simon Leach, a "Kiwi" who has done a variety of work for me. He is an absolute master panel beater and fabricator. His shop is located right next to John Wayne Airport.

He was on my short list of specialists for remaking my BMW CSL aluminum panels given the originals had rusted out. Not sure about the aluminum deDion arms though. I can understand Arch's reluctance.
