The other 7 is a very nice Caterham owned by Bruce Hand. Around 960 lbs. with a 260 hp Cosworth. The man is a true craftsman. The event was very nice but remarkably, not a single XKE!

Are the clamshells on that Caterham fabricated out of aluminum?   Never seen that done before!

Yes they are and absolutely flawless up close. He had them done by a fellow in OC. Bruce even fabricated aluminum DeDion arms himself. Arch wouldn’t make them for him.

If I'm not mistaken, the "fellow in OC" is Simon Leach, a "Kiwi" who has done a variety of work for me. He is an absolute master panel beater and fabricator. His shop is located right next to John Wayne Airport.

Thats a wow on the clamshells!  I have heard of Simon Leach.  He was on my short list of specialists for remaking my BMW CSL aluminum panels given the originals had rusted out.

Not sure about the aluminum deDion arms though.  I can understand Arch's reluctance.
