add-liteness
I am finishing up with a rebuild of a 2.0 Duratec motor. It's going into a new Birkin. I understand that I need to purchase some intake pieces and a shorten oil sump from England. I have contacted to English companies that offer these parts but haven't receive responses in a timely manor or no response at all. I still don't know exactly what I must buy in reference to the new throttle body, ECU etc. I would appreciate if someone has a comprehensive lists of parts that are needed to convert the Duratec to fit into a Birkin and which parts are only available from England and which can be sourced in the US. Thanks
JohnCh
Given it's a new car, has Tom at Birkin given you recommendations for a package that works? If not, or if you are looking for options, a good starting point to identify parts you may need or wish to upgrade is the Raceline price sheet. It's pretty comprehensive list of parts required based on spec. https://www.raceline.co.uk/pdf/DURATEC_2000cc_2021.pdf Chris and Peter are very helpful and have quality parts, but they struggle with email. Always call whenever possible. https://www.raceline.co.uk/ Another option is SBD. As with Raceline, calling is always the best bet. https://sbdmotorsport.co.uk/ -John
wemtd
While not required I recommend the raceline oil filter adapter. And tillett seat(at least for driver). tom has an ECU system that’s been working well for him.
Croc
My first call would be to Tom Carlin at Birkin USA. He should have everything you need on the shelf. While he is registered on USA7s he does not come here much as he is quite busy. Top guy!
