Al N. Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 For the past week, I've been stoping by my local magazine stands to see if the Nov. Automobile had come out. It came out today. I'm still in the middle of reading, but thought I'd update. Mazda, if any of the auto-xers in the Maryland region read it before the Ripken event, they'll be gunning for you.... :hurray:
Keith Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Great, now I have to wait until after work to find out what they thought of the Westie!
Al N. Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Great, now I have to wait until after work to find out what they thought of the Westie! Of course they loved it! It's handled as a sidebar article to the main 7-7-7 piece.

Local stores here don't have the Nov issue yet :banghead:
slngsht Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Alright, just picked up a copy. stevet Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Mine finally arrived last night :hurray: For those who don't subscribe, the article opens with "Mazda Ebrahimi is ruggedly handsome, unfailingly affable, remarkably generous, extraordinarily clever, and certifiably insane" Mazda 'claims' all he did was give the journo a ride in his car. Yeah right, I had to sleep with the photographer to get my car featured on page 114 Excellent article IMHO, well balanced and a good summary of the state of sevening this side of the pond.

Al N. Posted October 6, 2007 Author Posted October 6, 2007 Just got mine. I'm humbled. That Preston can write. Congrats to all of you. And of course, your wonderful cars. Whatevs Jonny. Your Jalopnik pieces were amazing (the photography too) and got the party started. Just because it wasn't ink on paper doesn't lessen the achievement. BTW, you are in for the 2009 national, right?
jbanker Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Everybody who was in the group photo at Fontana is in the magazine. Even my mother-in-law was able to spot us and she is half blind. We loved the article...However, I didn't think we were all that weird. Jack

Also, something to be said for quick turnaround web piece, vs. polished print article. Both excellent in their own way
Jon W. Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Did I really say those things attributed to me in the article? My memory is too short to dispute them. If anyone has taken offense, you can kick my lumpy nosecone the next time you see me (with the car).
