Electrical connectors?

Are there any reliable, easily-obtained waterproof connectors for single wires?

 

My Caterham has no connectors for the lights on the fenders, it's all hardwired.  I know how to patch wires, but I'd like to go with single-wire connectors just for the ease of working if I decide to mess with fenders again.

I will assume you are happy to splice in an assembled connector versus investing $$$ in the tools and extra pins to practice. You could also splice a length of wire and make the connection out of the wet area or use a two pin connector but clip the second lead up against the connector body (they also make blanking plugs for that purpose) or extend the ground to the chassis as well. You could also use standard, heat shrink bullet connectors and a short piece of electrical tape at the junction (five for 14-16ga for about $7 on ebay).

Interesting idea for the rear lights. 

 

For the turn signal atop the front fender, there IS no out of the wet area.

Deustch connectors are the industry standard, not cheap but very high quality.

Prowire USA has a large selection of automotive and motorsports electrical stuff.  Not cheap, but it's the good stuff.

Those are not sealed connectors like bullets but you could tape them where they connect.

The wire would be long for the front fender to unplug at the chassis under the bonnet. Dryer than a fender well at least.

This. I have deutsch connectors. Crimp tool was $30 but it's made life a LOT easier.

Running a new wire instead of using the one already in the harness?  Pass.  I'm going to try to have this car autocrossing this weekend.  Unless of course, the 90+ degrees makes me chicken out and take the Cayman...
