tyebbvs8 Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Hey All, I need to source a replacement 7/16 UNF x 8 inch long double threaded stud for my Westfield Miata - It is to connect my rear Knuckle to the lower control arm. Does anyone know where to get one? or have one made? Its to replace this one that I had to cut in half to remove it.
Alex-Ks1 Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Try , Carr Mc Master out let, they have anything in the nut and bolt world . I use them a lot 1
MV8 Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 You could use high strength threaded rod or a setup stud (both from Mcmaster). I assume the actual miata metric bolt is too long to be used with the westy control arm.
Christopher smith Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 If anyone needs metric fasteners I keep hearing from Bel-metric who may have a large stock
Timothy Keith-Lucas Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 McMaster-Carr at mcmaster.com I'll go looking in a minute.
Timothy Keith-Lucas Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Here go: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/threaded-rods/threaded-rods-1~~/threaded-rods-3~performance~high-pressure/ If that's not right for you back up a bit in McMaster-Carr and go down a different branch. Their catalog lets you start with something like "fastener" and go through choice points until you find what you want or that it it not manufactured.
