TobyinNJ Posted Tuesday at 03:53 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:53 PM My Duratec power Birkin uses a Delta 400 ECU. It needs tuning, but no one in NJ seems interested/capable in tuning it. I'm thinking of switching out the ECU for one more popular in the US and which a local tuner will work with. Any ideas about what direction to go? My own reseach suggest that the Haltec Elite 750 might be a good fit. But I'm flying blind here. The car currently doesn't have cats and I'd like to remedy that as part of the process, but not if it's a huge additional headache. Any advice greatly appreciated/
redursidae Posted Tuesday at 04:49 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:49 PM It’s always best to find a local tuner and use what they recommend. Aside from that, Haltechs do have a large number of tuners willing to support them. The 750 may be enough depending on how much IO you plan to use, but on today’s tech I would consider the Haltech S2 or a Link Monsoon/Xtreme G4X. Those have faster processors and internal datalogging. Maxx ECUs have also become very popular and are highly capable.
mrmustang Posted Tuesday at 04:50 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:50 PM Contact Bruce's Speed shop in Rockaway, NJ, while the namesake Bruce is no longer with us (RIP), the folks that bought out the business also have an engine shop around the corner and might be able to do the tuning. Bill S.

Bill S. I had no idea this place existed. I may be taking my 7 there. It is relatively close.

Just remember, I can only vouch for the original owner/operators, Bruce and Margaret, I have no real information other than what I posted above. Maybe stop in one day and scope it out. Bill S.
