MHKflyer52 Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Man that is one ride I would NOT go no. That driver has some really BIG STONES.
slngsht Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 through the S curve, when the camera pointed at the sign, he was doing almost 130
slngsht Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 Aerodynamics... something us se7en owners don't get to experience :nonod:
solder_guy Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Aerodynamics... something us se7en owners don't get to experience :nonod: Well you and I do have the "chin spoiler" I wish I lived in a small village where they organize a race around the houses and barns! Rob
slngsht Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 We would need a Jay Leno sized chin spoiler to make a difference.
xflow7 Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Aerodynamics... something us se7en owners don't get to experience :nonod: Nonsense. I experience it everytime my car hits a brick wall at 80mph.
scannon Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Aerodynamics... something us se7en owners don't get to experience :nonod: I have the Caterham CSR chin spoiler and whiskers (winglets) on my car. It is stable at 125 mph. It is still pulling hard in 5th when I have to brake for turn 1 at the end of the straight. I haven't had a safe place to go for top end yet so I don't know when it will hit the aerodynamic wall.
slngsht Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 skip, do you have a pic of your setup? My car doesn't really feel any different at 100, but I'm sure a couple hundred pounds of downforce would help glue the car down to the ground in high speed corners.
scannon Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 The whiskers are a little hard to see in the pictures. They are the only carbon fiber on my car. The chin spoiler makes a great place for a front license plate that doesn't interfere with the air flow to the I/C and radiator. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/946311785_Whiskers and chin001.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1253525911_Whiskers and chin002.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1371065126_Whiskers and chin003.JPG
