yellowss7
As autox season is over, I took the slicks off, took off the ratty rear wings, put the new ones with the rear lights back on and put the street tires on and I made an appointment to get it inspected. The sun came out around noon, the temp got up to the mid sixties, and the roads started to dry up a bit. Started out on a trip to get it inspected. Wet leaves really are not fun :willy: however they do test your reflexes and keep the heart rate up. Lots of thumbs up, nice car mister, and general nods of appreciation. God I love driving this car. Hopefully we'll get a few more days in before its tucked in for its long winter nap. Hopefully all of you here in the east got out today. Tom

yellowss7
Have to clean them up if you want a picture. It was not quite dry on the backroads thru the State Park. There is nothing special about them, just new Caterham wings with new Carbonfiber stoneguards and I had them Armourfended halfway to prevent excessive stone chipping. yellowss7
Jon if you aren't the most hardcore sevener out there then the other guy is flat out NUTS! :flag: I suspect you will be out playing in the snow with the seven doing donuts until the gas runs out. (I use to do that with my Spitfire, as it was the only time I could get the back end to come around unless I pulled up the handbrake. :yesnod: ) Stay safe! Boxologist
I certainly bow in the direction of Cherik when it comes to winter blatting. and our soft in the sun Southern California members as well.:nopity: it will see minimal duty, but of all thing i try to keep Snake Bit away from, salt i fear most. Tom :iagree: Jon is HARD CORE alright but he is still COOL. Stay warm in the Northeast winter months and can you post a photo or two of your easy access top colsed and open from inside and out if you have a chance as people out here in the warm, dry and rarely wet SoCal would like to see that top with some snow on it. yellowss7
Sorry it took so long to get a picture up. First the old one. After the first cone strike, I did a nice job of patching and standing, had it painted and then hit another cone and ripped it off again. Thats why it looks as bad as it does. Weighs a ton too. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/584432214_old fender.JPG New ones http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1607729213_new fenders.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1538477205_new fender side.JPG
xflow7
I wished I could have gotten out on Tuesday, but was way too busy at work this week. I did manage a nice blat up to Ithaca last Sunday, though. Beautiful and sunny out; just not particularly warm (low 40's). But bundled up and with side curtains, perfectly enjoyable. I did have the obligatory 15 minute delay at the gas station talking with an interested spectator. Drove into work one day the week before when it was ~28 when I left the house. No prob's staying mostly warm except for fingertips. Need to get some better gloves. Driving in the cold/winter really is fun; at least down to high 20's. The dense/dry air makes all the engine noises that much better and the waves, looks, etc. are always fun.
