Mondo
I don't think this is a secret anymore... Brian came up with a good idea for those WCM owners that want to have fun on high speed tracks or get really serious on a road coarse. He's coming out with a LeMans kit that fits on the same chassis. "...American LeMans style body that will fit over your existing chassis. Just remove the Hood, Headlights, and front fenders, bolt this down, plug in the lights and you have a whole new body style. You can change back at anytime in less than an hour..." I've seen a sketch and the front... It looks pretty cool. He should be coming out with pics soon.[/img]

scannon
The R11 is the one that caught my eye. Went to their website but there is nothing but that same picture and a promise that info will be forth coming. I'd love to build one of those. Will it use the Honda S2K engine? Will it be sold as a kit? Will a Miata engine fit in there? Lots of questions, no answers. :nonod:
shotgunslade
I guess I'm going to have to get the body kit for my new XR7. I had been wondering about an aerodynamic body for the car. I really loved the Panoz Roadsters in ALMS from a few years ago. The XR7 with the enveloping body could almost be a junior version of that car. The only thing I would worry about was lift. I remember watching videos of the Mercedes Group C car (or whatever IMSA class it was) get airborne at Road Atlanta about 10 years ago. When you are talking about over 400 bhp per ton, flight really becomes an issue.
WestTexasS2K
R11 will hold a wide variety of engine. Miata drive train should fit easily considering what is going in the first one. S2k engine should fit but will likely need a buldge in the hood because the engine is pretty tall. I really like to get one and put a Busa engine in it. With that aero it should be very fast. The stock 85 hp engine cars were capable of 150 mph. With additional 100 hp it should be very quick track car. He is still working on the completeing the first car. Body panels are ready from my understanding I think he is still sorting out some chassis upgrades.
WestTexasS2K
Sweet... would love to see more shots of that! The LM body is scheduled for January release. I believe the body is going to be sold for a little under 5k. I will make sure that the details get posted on here as soon as I know everything is ready to go. One more question, is the body going to be ali as it appears to be in the picture?

WestTexasS2K
LM will be fiberglass weight is unknown at this time but will notify when I find out. The R11 will have a fiberglass front and rear with the bottom half in aluminum. His fiberglass guy does carbon fiber as well if you want to pay the extra $$.
