WestTexasS2K Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Kevin and I had thought about doing this about 6 months ago. I guess we were a little late with our idea. Check out the gallery for the Shredder F80 http://www.bourgets.com/home.htm
slngsht Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 1490 lbs... that sucker is almost as heavy as my car

solder_guy Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Those are the newer designed, Oval Muth Signal Mirrors on that machine. Rob (I've got the older octagonal Muth Signal Mirrors on my Rotus) http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/182289879_ovalcruisersm.jpg
WestTexasS2K Posted January 5, 2008 Author Posted January 5, 2008 Bob that is pretty sharp. It certianly is much lower and lighter than the Shredder. But it is still powered by a Harley engine. I would have to ditch the harley engine and go with a Ducati or something different.
BobDrye Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Loren: Their called reverse trikes. I've posted a few links. http://reversetrike.com/v-twin-roadstercycle.html http://reversetrike.com/trirod.html http://reversetrike.com/kamikaze.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDOcKtRF2s0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjE4x0T6Ioc I have a busa motor and most of the other parts to put one together. I want to start on it when the 7 is sorted out. WestTexasS2K said: Bob that is pretty sharp. It certianly is much lower and lighter than the Shredder. But it is still powered by a Harley engine. BobDrye Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Mazda: 6 liters vs 1.3 liters. What size rear tires and type of rear tires are you going to use?
slngsht Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Bob, the Boss is using a P225/70R15. Definitely not enough tire. Boss is more of a statement than a performance bike. Still, I'd like to see a 100-140 race For now, I'm going to stick with P305/35R18 (yes, two of them  ), since that's the size on my vette. When the time comes to get specific wheels for the Rotus, I'll probably go down to 17", or maybe even 16" rims. I do have enough room on the inside to go to 335's in the back. I will stick with R compound tires. I can't see myself spending 2 grand on slicks that will last one season and can't be used on the road. I will go with Toyo RA1's, or R888s if my sizes come out. BTW, I saw an article somewhere that said the Boss does the quarter in 10.4 seconds. I might be able to give that a run. Busa is solidly in the 9's, so you'll have to deal with that
JohnCh Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I never heard of a Boss Hoss before so I did a search and found this on their website. I just don't know what to say... http://www.bosshoss.net/images/BIKES_TRIKES/BHC9ZZ4/BHC9ZZ4_13.jpg http://www.bosshoss.net/images/BIKES_TRIKES/BHC9ZZ4/BHC9ZZ4_11.jpg -John
Mandurath Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I rode a buddy of mines a while back, and one of the projects on my to do list is building a v8 chopper. They are cruisers, not generally racers. Though, one that won rats hole a few years back was pushing 850 hp. I imagine if you could get it stick, it would fly. Few things sould like a lumpy cammed v8.
BusaLoco Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/746413801_180px-Graham_Chapman_Colonel.jpg Oh dear, this string is getting silly! I've heard of Bike Engined Cars before but Car Engined Bikes ... Really! It's just wrong, very wrong!

BusaLoco Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I should think that from a purely technical point of view the electric bike would be faster. ... but equally silly! and Deadly!
