I know the "El Camino" effect is too redneck for everyone here, but this would make a nice little tow "truck" for those with LIGHT sevens (if you don't have to carry a family).

 

The G8 sport truck can carry up to 1,074 lbs and tow up to 3,500 lbs.

6.0L V8, 361 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque and the engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The G8 sport truck reaches 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds.

 

Of course you'll have to make sure your seven is faster than 5.4 to 60. You can't have a tow vehicle faster than your seven :crazy:

I'm still waiting for a good explanation of this "towing your seven" concept...

Think of it as a backup vehicle for those not so rare occasions when your Seven dies at a track day. Just hop in this little baby and head back out onto the track and never miss a beat. No cussin out the Seven or developing a bad vibe toward it . Plus no issue as to how to get the Seven home either!

Well, the rebadged GTO/Holden did not work out so well for them. I hope this one does, I seriously looked at trying to import either the Holden or Ford Ute stateside a while back, but just way to many restrictions. The Boss Ford Ute, all I can say is wow. I'll seriously consider trading in my F150 on one of these. Especially if they come with the tow package available in AUS, as its pointless if it cannot pull my boat.

The tow vehicle gives the spouce a way of going shopping while your running your 7 at the track if she dose not want to sit and watch when you will not let her have her turn if she wants to run the 7, it also provides a way to cary all those extera parts and tires to the track or auto-x or to your garage when working on your 7, plus if your trailer that you pull with your tow vehicle is an enclosed one and your cheap like me you can stay in it at most tracks by using it as a mobel hotel room, also provides a secure parking place when traveling and a storage area when home and the biggest reason is most of us are getting (bitting my tounge) older and enjoy the refined comfort of a soft ride after a day of having fun in our 7's. Well at least that is my rationalization for having a tow vehicle and trailer for my 7.
