WestTexasS2K
Bob I know he would be looking toward seeing a friendly face. 7evin is now 8th overall. Mojito is running like a top. He took 5th in the drags and got 6 and 7 on the road coarse. some pics from TWS competition Mongoose driven by Danny Pop http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/27905891_CIMG0285.JPG Hennessey Viper http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1243539632_CIMG0287.JPG New Nissan GTR driven by Tony Swan from Car and Driver http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1922646234_CIMG0288.JPG Ford GT, Z06, M3 http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1601289018_CIMG0292.JPG Cool cars http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/119352984_CIMG0303.JPG Carolina Rod Shop entry. These guys are amazing same folks been doing it together for 21 years. They always have something interesting. This is an old Plymouth with corvette suspension. LS1 with Magnason supercharger and 6 speed. Sweet ride and very cool. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1104764184_CIMG0302.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/420176606_CIMG0300.JPG Coffin layout http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1565000167_CIMG0307.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/91025818_CIMG0308.JPG
slngsht
So, what were the ET and trap speeds? :bigears: How is the skyline doing? With all the rain, AWD, and so much hype about that car, it should be really up there
RDROCKT
Mazda, the Skyline (Nissan GT-R) is just holding on to 7th position overall a scant 70 points ahead of 7evin and Harmony. The car is awesome and well driven by Tony Swan of Car and Driver mag but having difficulty staying ahead of a well driven Ultralite. You can check the progress of all the cars by going to http://www.onelapofamerica.com/history/results.shtml?y=2008
MHKflyer52
Great to hear that your doing well against the big BUCKs that are out their. Their is a body in the coffin....HaHa....RV / Parts Hauler what else. Thanks for the updates and photos.

Ultralite is listed 5th in the drag race  I wonder what the track conditions were. Times seem a little out of whack. Skyline only ran a 12.8, Hennessey viper only 11.5. Would have expected both of those to do better.

Times seem a little out of whack. Skyline only ran a 12.8, Hennessey viper only 11.5. Would have expected both of those to do better. Slngsht the Skyline is moving along pretty well. For a bone stock factory car it is performing very very well. He is usually in the top 5. So the hype seems to be pretty accurate. Drag times do seem low. 7evin says he had very hard time hooking up. He was launching in 2nd gear and he said he had wheel spin for the first 100' he just couldnt get it hooked. Another reason is most of these guys are not drag racers. They ony run down the drag 1 time a year for 2 passes during 1 Lap. I think If I were driving I could have gotten a few hundreds off 7evins times but I drag race alot. 7evin hasnt made a pass down the 1/4 miles in 20 years. No matter 7evin is doing a bang up job this week. He hasnt gone off track one time and is very consistantly in top 6 or 7. I suspect with a hot dry track today at Carolina Motorsports Park a track 7evin recently drove for 3 days he will be in the top 3.
Kitcat
The 1/4 mile times do seem slow, tho the Nissan GT-R's time of 12.8 is about the same as those published by the car mags. Four wheel drive & launch control probably helped.

WestTexasS2K
7evin is still 8th overall after Carolina Motorsports Park. Scores are not in for the BMW performance driving center. He felt that he did well. On the way to VIR tonight.
RDROCKT
Just got a chance to update on the latest results for 7evin and Michelle. Holy Cow (insert cow smiley here)! THIRD in the event at the BMW Performance Center. Although the overall standing for Organic Racing is unchanged at this point, the margin is narrowing! The Skyline has got to be concerned. R1 Seven
They should move up today, as one of the front runners dropped out last night due to an unfortunate encounter with a deer.

WestTexasS2K
They are running great. Out of the top 10 cars 7evin was the fastest in the wet at VIR 1 and 2. 7s are not suppose to be fast in the wet. Acutually in the second session he caught the Autowerks BMW on the second lap and the ass wouldnt let him pass for 3/4 of a lap costing some precious seconds and points. Bev run is going to be a good track for us if it stays dry so lets hope.
