and for this weekends version...hell is getting a 100$ zetec engine on e-bay, spending 150$ on gas , then blowing out a truck tire on sunday north of detroit,,,4 hrs away from home...when ALL the local tire stores are closed..spending the night in a wal mart parking lot.. and a 100$ engine ending up costing 500$...:banghead:

Your problem is that you should not be keeping track of how much this stuff costs :leaving:

$500.....that is cheap.

 

I had a perfectly working zx1 with carbs in my car....

 

- added $ 2500 for head porting, valve job, new cams, followers, springs, sprockets and related goodies.

 

- added about another $2500 for throttle bodies, injectors, ECU upgrade., fuel pump and related goodies

 

- now the the engine needs a rebuild and I am going to spend another $1000+ on machining, new pistons, bearings, ARP hardware and related goodies.

 

So, what is that complaint about $500?

Ah...I get it ...you still need to spend the other $6000 :jester:

$500.....that is cheap.
