11Budlite
Not a fan of the wheels, but the rest of it looks nice: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___1965-Lotus-Super-Seven-Series-2_W0QQitemZ270285481995QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270285481995&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 Bruce :7drive:
11Budlite
It looks like it's for sale again: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___1965-Lotus-Series-2-Seven_W0QQitemZ270294177106QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270294177106&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 Bruce :7drive:
DeanG
This is an awesome car. Lots of us were drooling over it at the Lotus Owners Gathering (LOG 28) this year. I just goes to show what you can do with money, taste and a full professional race shop.
Ian7
did an asking price come up in conversation at LOG? did the subject of it being the 'original' engine come up as well?
Al N.
When it was first listed, I made an inquiry about the engine...they report that they think is the original block. I have not confirmed with the power that be (JWW, of course). This car is detailed very well, and I assume bolted together well...but little things here and there bother me (I've been lurking over at simplesevens.org a bit too much?): rear fenders, dash, wheel, wheels...all of which could be "fixed" of course, but to spend all that money and still have to fix stuff to make it truly correct is a pain. BTW, the bidding ended. Did someone buy it via ebay or was a side deal cut?
Ian7
Bought? Yesterday morning I had to leave, and it had one bid, "reserve not met", with less than 30 minutes to go. I must have missed a last minute flurry. What was selling price?
DeanG
It shows not sold at $25K. I don't think of this car as an original car as much as a developed car. At LOG I didn't get the impression that it was for sale.
