yellowss7 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 We had our first of hopefully many more events at the Citizens Bank Park lots yesterday. Here's a couple of nice unusual photos. Not as nice as Dave's in Montana but still nice. Enjoy Tom PS Let's go Phillies!!!!! http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/231346734_autox 10 19 08 c.jpg http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1995663535_auotx 10 19 08 f.jpg
pksurveyor Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 What a beautiful contrasting view! A clam shell Seven running a track event with skyscrapers background.
Kitcat Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Wow, 2 Porto-Lets, quite the set up! Or are those light blue rectangles something else?
slngsht Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Wow, 2 Porto-Lets, quite the set up! Or are those light blue rectangles something else? Tom carries those to the events for his passengers

yellowss7 Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 I believe the first one is an HDR photo, but I'm not sure. It looks a little surreal to me, but we arrived really early(7:00AM) and the Sun was not yet up so the early morning light may have something to so with it. Tom
Davemk1 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Very cool photos with great color saturation. Thanks for sharing. dave
southwind25 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 nice capture.... you know..they should broadcast the auto-x on that big screen behind you in the first picture...now THAT would be cool!
lowflyer Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Excellent picture! I grew up in Philly, although I've been gone for many years. I wouldn't have recognized the skyline if it weren't for "Billy Penn" on top of City Hall. When I lived there, they had a law making it illegal for any building to be taller than Billy's hat. Looks like that went away a while ago. When I lived, and autocrossed, there they had a group of different clubs that put on events. At least one event from each club was counted towards a series championship. I still have the 1971 Championship plaque around somewhere from the DVSA (Delaware Valley Sprint Association). Looks like they still know how to have fun, and for sure, GO PHILLIES!
yellowss7 Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 Lowflyer, good eye spotting Billy Penn. Yeah, that gentlemen's agreement not to build higher than Billy Penn's hat went by the wayside a while back. Chandler AZ, Winter home of Donovan McNabb, and some great golf courses like Superstitions Springs, Ocatio (sp) Tom
lowflyer Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I think you mean Ocotillio. I'm not a golfer but there are 70 or 80 golf courses in the PHX metro area according to a news broadcast I heard a while back. Of course, they tend to get a lot more play in the winter than over the summer. Don't know Donovan, but I think he actually lives in either Scottsdale or Paradise Valley (both very upscale). I didn't realize that the ball field was "close in" to downtown. When I lived there all of the stadiums and such were down in South Philly.
yellowss7 Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Ballparks and Arena's are still in South Philly. In fact the lot that we were running on was the site of the old Veteran's Stadium. There were markers on the spots of Home plate, and the bases. Must be the perspective of the lenses use. Tom
