slngsht Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I don't know if it's the fastest Caterham (I'm sure it's not the fastest Seven), but it certainly does have the biggest air box I like the zipper paint. different and original.
pi7ot Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 It was/is Arnie Webb's. One of the Big Doods on the Lotus 7 forums UK. m
Spaz Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Seemingly my car is under investigation by the DVLA so sorry, but I have had to take the website down. That does not sound fun.
MHKflyer52 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Under investigation forwhat and who is the DVLA.
DeanG Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 http://www.carandclassic.co.uk Lotus: XI, 18, 51 yum. I need a big lotto hit!
Stokked Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Anyone remember the 1999 BAR Honda F1 cars? Not many liked the paint scheme back then. Link here! I'm guessing that was the inspiration for the paint on K2RUM. -Delayne

You notice on the Clasic Car site how many 7,s are for sale in the UK and how much lower the prices are across the board. Edited March 3, 2009 by DB6
KiwiBirkin Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 who is the DVLA ? I think it stands for District Vehicel Licensing Authority

Yes, I am seeling a lot and the pound vs dollar is in our favor. Anyone know how to import a 7 here and make it "street lega"? My guess is one would have to pay around 2,000 to 3,000 for shipping.
Ian7 Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Well, easiest way for you guys down there is to buy a car more than 25 years old, and it's a no-brainer. Younger than that I can't comment with certainty.... (up here its only 15 years). Shipping is WAY less than your number if you can tolerate an "at their convenience" schedule. I had a car shipped in 2003-ish for just over a grand canadian (137.52 us back then?), including drive-to dock, plus shipping, plus train from east coast to Montreal (600 miles). Maybe a month total, but not sure how wide that window could be, maybe I got lucky?

I guess the main problems are paper work and driving a right hooker.
Spaz Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I have no problem driving a right hooker state side here. I just wonder how much red tape cutting is need to make it legal.
