Usher
Hello Kyle, I have a 2000 Birkin. I have seen some 7's with an LED night/break light mounted on the roll bar. Great solution to a low car with even lower tail lights. Can you tell me the make/model of the tail light you installed? Where available? I installed this light on my rollbar: [/url]http://www.etrailer.com/pc-tail-oval~STL79RB.htm?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=ppc Installation was easy, I just drilled and tapped holes for two M4 screws and bolted it right on. http://www.msu.edu/%7Eushernat/IMG_0032.JPG

Al N.
BTW, I would say that Drew R. has the trickest 3rd brake light install I've ever seen. I had the Wolo shown and it was great, but Drew's looks factory installed.
scannon
After following my Caterham & Gert's Birkin (with a 3rd very bright brake light) on the Wyoming trip I am convinced that I need a third brake light. I was amazed how wimpy the stock Caterham brake lights are. Skip

solder_guy
I'm not totally happy with my LED bar that I paid too much for on eBay .. but it does shine brightly .. and I drilled holes for the wire which runs down the inside of the rollbar. If I had known of the Wolo bar I would have bought it ... lower profile than my LED bar .. And I have a BackOFF circuit wired to it to make it flash .. JohnCh
And I have a BackOFF circuit wired to it to make it flash .. I am running something similar to the BackOFF and find the flashing very effective. Prior to installation, it would generally take a few polite taps of the brakes before people trailing too closely would clue in and back off. Now I rarely have to give more than one tap before they ease off the throttle. Not sure if this is down to the fact that the flashing increases the following driver’s awareness that I am braking, or if the flashing is just so damn annoying that they want to get as far away from me as possible -John
pksurveyor
The Caterham tail lights are definitely weak. To begin with, the car is so low to the ground and tail light is one of those single bulb design unlike the old Ford Thunderbird with the fully articulated bling flashing lights. A third brake light is good to have. I have the Caterham third brake light behind the spare tire on the wife's car and it makes a big difference in comparsio to my Caterham.
