solder_guy
Where do you keep your registration papers? Tag and proof of insurance? There's no glove box .. so where to put it? Plastic baggie in the engine compartment by the battery .. What do you suggest? Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
slngsht
I carry them in my wallet, until I redo the dash. There is plenty of space behind there for a small glove box.

drew...
registration / insurance certificate - I keep them in a plasic sleeve adhered with double side tape on the verticle surface of the scuttle just over my left knee next to the steering column. Out of sight and out of the way, but there if you ever need them (which is hopefully never!!!)
Al N.
Plastic baggie kept in desk drawer with keys. Baggie goes in pocket before keys go in ignition.
soareyes
I keep all the important papers in the pocket of a small back pack, along with small tools, fuses, etc. The pack is nice because I can put my removable steering wheel in it and take it with me if I'm parked where I can't keep an eye on the car. The pack sits in the passenger footwell or boot when I'm driving.

solder_guy
Here is where mine go. Out of site. Your solution wins by far! :hurray: BTW: Latest architectural feature in new homes: Hidden rooms .. behind a bookcase .. under the stairs Munster style, etc. Rob
xflow7
I have a large-ish (8"x10" or something) zippered pouch in the pas. footwell as a catchall for maps, etc. I have a smaller pouch that my reg papers live in that I stuff in the big pouch while driving and then take with me when I leave the car. Sometimes I also put keys and stuff in this small pouch so they don't have to be in my pockets while driving. Eventually I want to come up with a better solution in the form of some kind of quasi-hidden and/or lockable compartment somewhere (I'm thinking possibly on top of the trans. tunnel up against the scuttle or something. slomove
Hmmm, maybe I don't understand the issue. At least here in California the registration and insurance are just a small slivers of paper. I just fold it to credit card size and shove it behind the drivers license in my wallet. Why should that be in the car when I am not in the car? solder_guy
My final solution: I have a small zippered pouch with a loop in which I am keeping two sets of keys to the car, registration and insurance cards, ear plugs, etc. So all this is removed from the car when I leave it. stevet
Plastic baggie taped to the underside of the passenger seat - the bottom part of a Caterham leather seat just lifts out. Nice and easy.
MHKflyer52
I have my paperwork; Insurance, Registration, small photo album of the build all in a plastic bag which get put under the seat cover of the drivers seat which I sit on so they do not get sucked out of the car when having fun going down the road. Works well and is out of site but still easy to access.
