June 12 Drive In NJ?PA

Its a looooong way away but count me in. Last year's drive was great despite your jinxing us with the weather (just kidding!!!)

We may even get Al to join us on the drive with his "new" old car instead of doing the "beauty pageant" bit at the beginning! :D

Maybe we could try part of Al's 'Nurburgring of NJ' course he has laid out? Or we could also use the LEO of NJ route from November which was a good run.

I can tell I am not the only one with a hankering to get in the Se7en and drive.:auto:

It is alittle off, but I will always have time to get out with our NJ-PA group. Any route that we go on will be OK with me. If we really want the shit to hit the fan, we can invite the New Jersy LOG that had us over last year. Make no mistake about this, This year I will be doing an OFFICAL CATERHAM brake light inspection, so have your bulbs and fuses at the ready. LOL

I dont know what you are talking about....my brake lights are just fine from where I sit

I think your problem is that you just need to be in front.....go faster!!!!

:D:D

It's ok Mike , short term memory is the first to go, well maybe the second !!

First up is OK with me !!!

Regrettably i'm away out of the northeast for now but know two good drives for those of you who are local.

first is Rt 97 north from port jervis, some twists and great views along the deleware.

second: getting to PJ from NJ is to take county rt 521 north from Rt 206. more fun than scenery and better than the alternative connecting roads.

Cheers

Great suggestion - I have been on rt 521 before and loved it. Never tried rt 97 before but I will save that up.

We may have to give it a miss this time - we will probably be all converging on Frenchtown/Milford NJ area - little bit far south. Come and join us!!! :)

cheers

You just reminded me of something funny recently

I was visiting the parents and it was the usual male bonding in the garage with the cars and bikes. Dad with his vintage boxer BMW bike was telling me how well it performs. I asked what is the secret - so he popped a little blue pill out of his pocket and dropped it into the fuel tank. With that he quipped "you would be amazed what it can get up to"

I was left doing goldfish impersonations....

:D

A gathering of Sevens and a good drive sounds great. I'd be happy to provide a Home Base for everyone to gather at. The usual William Thomas Roadsters coffee, snacks, etc. on me.

Do we really have to wait until June? ;-)

I see no reason to exclude Atwell's troops unless u would like this to be more...uhhh...intimate. I would understand staggering the departure times for groups of cars so the drive does not turn into a low speed caravan.

Pssst...Arya - I am whispering so we do not let Mazda know your dastardly plans....:D

Excellent idea! We kick off from Milford NJ. From memory it is about 1 hour from downtown Philly (about 30mins to Trenton on I-95 and then 30mins on Route 29 to Milford). You could also follow the route the other side of the river that runs through New Hope. Both are nice cruising roads to get to Milford. Last year we did a nice loop starting and finishing in Milford with lunch at the Ship Inn. It is very nice Seven country up there - if there was work there for me I would move there.

Jon - Echo you on the low speed caravan. No stop lights that only let 3 cars through each cycle.... better route planning needed. And more batteries in the GPS! :p

Arya, I live at the half way point from Milford, 20 mins from Philly. You can stop here first, and we can make our way to Milford. If you can't steal Frankn7, you can ride with me. I'll give you some seat time , and you can see what an UNDER-POWERED 7 is like.LOL

Or if you need a good home cooked meal before then, thats cool too.Drop me a PM , and I'll give you my Cell#

I think we should invite Attwell's troopers, they are a great group of people !!

I absolutely doubt that a Ebrahimi family vacation would not get planned that weekend if Arya nabbed Franken7. Despite the proximity to Carlisle Weekend. I would at least expect Mazda and his 'vette to be a short distance behind him:Chevy_anim:

Arya - The route would be expected to be in the region I-78 -> I-80. Steve is coming from your direction, so u have a caravan partner.

Mike - do u still have family obligation that weekend?

I think 3 would be too few. I fear the day would turn into a bad gimmick rally with everyone driving around looking for a missed turn off. BUT the 7 is having a pair of 12v sockets put in so my GPS won't die at last moment it is neccessary! A 7 or 8 car group should be fine. an possible setup nice photo oppurtunities.
