Well we have seen the white one" that I can't seem to download a photo of' and it is nice. But I like the green one too !!! I had no idea they were so much money !

Yeah, that's a lot of money for a race toy. But the upside is that as long as you don't crash it, they are not depreciating. It's sort of like art you can enjoy and play with.

 

Now if I can only convice my wife that it's a great investment.:auto:

I was surprised they cost that much too. I think the white and orange one is campaigned by Sasco Sports. I always liked the Lola MK1 they ran as well. Here's a photo of the Lotus 23:

Like anything historic racing car, price of each individual car is dictated by it's history. That being said, the lotus 23 was an iconic sports racer of the era and nice examples (even without a rich history) command well into the $150k range.

 

About 30 years ago my father had the opportunity to buy one for $600. He told the guy he'd take it and instructed him not to sell it, rented a truck and trailer from his friend and drove from colorado to kansas to pick it up. When he got there the guy told him he sold it 2 hours ago. :banghead:
