Serpent
How hard is to swap those fender flares? wheel arch's? to the ones thats in ^ picture.
slngsht
swapping them out is pretty straight forward, but you'll have to deal with the holes left in the aluminum afterwards.

jbanker
How hard is to swap those fender flares? wheel arch's? to the ones thats in ^ picture. I did just the opposite, just swapped my front cycle fenders for Clamshells. The front clams and headlight mount would have to be swapped for a new cycle fender and headlight mount. They are not the same...Clams have a different set up vs cycle fenders. The mounting points on the frame are the same for the headlights. As mentioned previously, you would want to cover the holes that were left after the clams would be removed. It is not unusual for the owner of a Se7en to swap from one to the other. I personally like the classic look of the clams...both fender styles have their pluses and minuses. You are correct about personal preferrences. Ian7
Would be a good candidate for importation into Canada. I am currently looking, but just a little out of my price range. Nice car! Hi from Montreal, This car could be in your garage for less than Cdn$30k. You won't get a Caterham or real Lotus 7 for less, trust me I've been through all the options. Even building my own from scratch I've got over 30 in it, not counting labor. If you're even remotely passionate, grab it... :-)
trough doctor
Oh im passionate enough! Its the bank account thats not big enough! Iam not expecting to get a nice caterham for less than the asking price here. Seems like a great deal for someone considering what a new one goes for. I am Looking at homebuilts and lesser known (quality) kits. I currently have a steel monocoque rotary powered seven so can afford to wait and just explore all options. Tony
Great looking 7. Had a Series II years ago and am looking for a new one to enjoy. I'm not familiar with all of the mechanical options, engines, etc. and was wondering how this particular 7 might be as a fun car primarily for around town and a couple of long distance tours each year. Not into the racing aspect, just want a Seven to drive and tinker with. Can anyone share their thoughts about the type of use it is set up for and how it might do for the occasional cruises? Is it still available? Thanks, Tony
