scannon
I was reading Kit Car Builder magazine and looking at the events for this year. Carlisle 2010 caught my interest and I found the following: The Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals showcases euro-classics to import sports cars and attracts all genres of attendees. Coupled with the largest kit car gathering in the nation, this event provides spectators with a multitude of activities for car clubs and families alike. What is this event it is coupled with? Who else is planning on attending from the Se7ens world? BTW there are features on a Super Stalker owned by Jack and Rick Nostrand and an electric Stalker and in the April issue. scannon
It's a long haul from Colorado and I am also considering LOG30. Probably can't afford to do both of them. Are there any other car shows, runs or track events close to Carlisle I could attend while I am there?

They do have an autox at the event, but personally I wouldn't make the trek from CO just for Carlisle.
Boxologist
Carlisle Kits is normally in May, correct? Maybe fly in and bum around w/ a few Miata and se7eners for the long weekend. Pocono, Summit Point, and beaveRun would be teh closest tracks. trailering twice in the same year may be a bit much. how have u been since the surgery? Flying commercial air is very difficult and expensive for me. I still have to have supplemental oxygen and they won't allow my equipment on board. I have to use their oxygen and they charge $100 extra per leg of the flight. Then I have to rent equipment at the destination. I have several other trips planned and I think one to the east coast is enough so it will probably be LOG30. Everything has gone extremely well since the surgery. I have now shed 89 lb since August. Still losing slowly and building up strength and stamina with 3X visits a week to the gym. I'm using less supplemental oxygen and hope someday to be free of that necessity. Concurrent with LOG 30 will be Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral Sep 29 - Oct 3, 2010 http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/ce/events/fall-carlisle/ There has been some talk among some folks about going on Thursday or Friday. Mapquest gives the time as about 1.5 hours between the venues. A local guy told me it was more like 45 minutes to an hour. Look at the video, around 2:16 there is a guy wearing a Lotus shirt. Does anyone recognize him? Edited February 18, 2010 by DeanG

Skip there is an Aston Martin/Lotus club trackday event on May 20th at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Entry fee is $300 for one car and driver $198 for the second driver. I'm am planning on doing this event. If you are coming east and would like the info let me know and I'll post it. NJMP is approximately 3+ hours from Carlisle by my reconniing. scannon
Tom, Thanks for the info but I doubt I will be heading East this year. I am leaving for Laguna Seca next Wednesday for two days on the track with the Caterham (although it is a Miata only event, the Cat qualified because of the Miata engine and transmission).
