I think it can be done with a Geo Metro if you give the rope a few feet slack.

 

Otherwise it may be difficult with any vehicle. There was chatter that the ad video is actually fake.

Yep there's the rub.

I don't believe it is real.

I think you would need to snap a slack tow strap in order to accelerate the cloth quickly enough.

maybe if they had used one of those magical accelerating Toyota Piouses :willy_nilly:
