Hank Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Not affiliated, but interesting nonetheless. http://www.scorpionmotorsports.com/wp-content/gallery/featured-images-for-homepage/hh-rear-side-scorpian-1-580_300.jpg http://www.scorpionmotorsports.com/wp-content/gallery/pics/anais_scorpion_0415_hires.jpg [/url]http://www.scorpionmotorsports.com Kawasaki ZX6R power (126HP). Total weight 752 lb. 0-60 = 3.5 sec. Lateral = 1.5g. $30k (price listed on another website).
7evin Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Dam that thing is pretty cool ... I sure would like to steal the fenders off of it... I bet you could buy it for 15,000 minus the wing.....
WestTexasS2K Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I saw one of those the other day that was still new that a dealer was selling for 13k. I think it was on ebay. They were originally 35k if I remember correctly.
jlumba81 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Seems odd to have a large front wing but nothing to balance out the rear. Must be tail happy when on a track.
pierats Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 (edited) I'd love to have one that is street legal! That would cut down my commute. EDIT - I just looked at their website and it IS Street legal! Awesome. 3-wheeled vehicles are allowed in the HOV lane here in CA. I agree that it is odd to have a huge front wing but nothing in the rear. Edited April 16, 2010 by pierats
V-Robb Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I actually hate any trike/3 wheeler... Why? Well, as a motorcyclist for 100k miles I can see the appeal of this type of vehicle - open like a bike but easier to ride. The problem I have with these kinds of vehicles is that they have all the disadvantages of both cars and bikes: Open to the weather like a bike, but wide like a car so you can't split lanes. Here in SoCal that's gold...! Just my opinion, I could be wrong...
MightyMike Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I think it looks cool. I'd imagine you would have to be careful driving it around as it sits so low - kind of like our Sevens.
BMW RACER Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 "Open to the weather like a bike, but wide like a car so you can't split lanes" Sounds like a Seven
Mondo Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I like having 2 seats so someone else can enjoy the ride too
Hank Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 I like having 2 seats so someone else can enjoy the ride too I can't bring most of my friends in the Megabusa, because the seats won't take a male pant size above a 34 waist.
Mondo Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Too be honest, the passenger seat in the S2K has pretty much the same limitation - driver can be a fat tub of lard though;)
7evin Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I raffled off a ride in Mojo at one of the trade shows we went to. One of the fellows that won was about 5' 2" and about 250 lbs. I was thinking "oh no" I did not want to embarrass him. He had a little trouble getting over the sides but amazingly I squeezed him into that little seat and buckled him in. He said that it was one of the exhilarating experiences of his entire life. Getting him out was a completely different challenge.
Hank Posted April 18, 2010 Author Posted April 18, 2010 I emailed Scorpion Motorsports and they came back with a price... *GULP* just the front wing... $3200.
7evin Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 That will make you look at speed bumps in a whole new way <:>
