when are we taking the Rotus to Yellowstone?

At the Dragon you said by 2010 we'll go to Yellowstone. :toetap05:

He remembers that, but has to be reminded to brush his teeth every night :skep:

So when are you taking the Rotus to Yellowstone? Plan a stop in Colorado and we'll get some of the local Sevens together for some brisk mountain drives.

And you can stop by in KC on your way out. I'm sure I can find something around here to warm you up for Colo. and Yellowstone. Russ

The only way the Rotus will make it that far out is when we have a national meet in that part of the country.

Hoping that comes true in the next couple of years.

Ryan?

no, Cameron. Ryan does not care about such things. But he is even more persistent when it's important to him.

Me too! I would really like to meet you guys sometimes! And maybe Al has a "new" Seven by that time :hurray:

But, the sticky question is still how to get a bunch of cars from the East (and West) cost to a somewhat central place.

And...how to motivate a bunch of folks to take off the unheard time of a week or better two. For USA2005 we got a good dozen from the US (mostly drawn by the turnout of 38 cars from the UK), for PNW2007 it varied from 5 to 8 (all West Coast except that crazy guy Ed Hudson). My Rocky Mountains trip 2009 was with 2-3 Sevens. Your 7/7/7 Dragon got many more cars but that was a short event and with most participants rather close.

So, honestly I am skeptical if we can pull this off except somebody has a creative idea. Notwithstanding your son's Yellowstone idea, maybe we should meet in Colorado or South Dakota. Still far from the east Coast for driving and pretty far from the West and Northwest but at least an easy distance for Colorado, North Texas and some Midwest areas.

Yeah, I don't know if we'll ever get the type of momentum that we'd get if we had an east cost or west coast event.

I have to manage to take a month off, hop in the car and head west. Not happening this year for sure.

And we're off....

I'm still game for Branson for the next national. and then on to Wyoming for the following national.:cheers:

How about joining Alaskossie’s drive home? Folks in the Western states can join on the legs leading to or from Monterey, and those in the East can fly out for a 3-day weekend of automotive nirvana: Monterey Historics, Pebble Beach Concourse, Concorso Italiano…

Take the redeye to San Jose Thursday night. Meet us at the track on Friday morning, and then fly back Monday. Only 2 days away from work.

John, I'm going to try to arrange this. If I can get some tonight show tickets, might come out with wifey.

Hey, that would be a National Meet, well kind of.:hurray:

I am planning to drive up to Monterey on Friday, be there Saturday and return Sunday. Probably the same excellent roads as last year.

If you need a ride from LA (and back) and are not over jeans size 38 you are welcome as passenger. :smilielol5:

And if you have a decent rental car we can still drive up there together. I will not be in a real hurry.

Wow, I never thought you would actually buy my logic. Perhaps I should try the same approach with Al? ;)

Gert, do you think you can convince any of the other CCC folks to attend?

I check the Leno show, and it looks like I have to wait a bit before I can get on waitlist for August shows.
