MHKflyer52
Ok guys the louver press for x-mass is good. I like the fenders. Lots of labor to get them to look that good. Looks like it might be one of the few CMC 7 clones that actually was finished by the builder of their kit as they used a Miata as the donner for the car also the dash looks like it is one of the fiberglass dashes that they made for their kits. Nice car if you like that many louvers.
scannon
The dash surface looks like engine turned aluminum or stainless steel to me. That Miata engine is an 1,800 cc unit from an '01 thru '05 car, about 145 HP at the crankshaft. It is a nice looking car, I even sort of like the louvers in the rear panel. rzempel
All that engine turning makes my eyes hurt. I don't think it's a CMC-7. IIRC, the CMC kit doesn't have radiused upper front wishbones--they're welded bits of straight tube. Also, the CMC kit has diagonal rearward supports for the rollbar. MHKflyer52
The dash surface looks like engine turned aluminum or stainless steel to me. If you look it is screwed to the fiberglass that is blue. I don't think it's a CMC-7. IIRC, the CMC kit doesn't have radiused upper front wishbones--they're welded bits of straight tube. Also, the CMC kit has diagonal rearward supports for the rollbar. One of the CMC kits that I looked into did not even come with a rollbar as it was an option in the early models I do belive. As for the front upper wish bones they look a lot like the ones I made to fit the MGB front spindles when I made my car in 2003. See attached photo. I believe you are correct about the roll bar being optional. But, I've checked by looking at my daughters CMC-7 Miata kit sitting next to my garage--the front upper wishbones from CMC were triangular rather than curved like the ones you made. Yours look nice, the ones from CMC appear very crude in comparison.

DLW
Louvers on the bonnet are great, and in a few cases, they are OK on the lower edge of the panels on the side of the engine compartment. But when you cover practically the whole car with them, it's another story. The interior in this car is awful, with the Grant GT steering wheel, engine-turned dash and Miata seats ruining the esthetics. One would most likely have to strip this to the spaceframe to make anything remotely attractive from it.
