MHKflyer52 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 To all the folks that have served and are serving the United States of America in the Armed Forces and especially the ones that have given the ultimate sacrifice to this nation and its people and the world. "THANK YOU" Without your service this nation would not be what it is today even if it is not perfect it is still the freest country in the world. Again "THANK YOU"
slngsht Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 :flag: In addition to the people who gave their lives defending the country, there are so many whose lives are on hold as they serve right now. I think this summer I will take my older son to Arlington cemetery for a visit.
WestTexasS2K Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks for those who have sacraficed for this great nation.
leeper Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I think this summer I will take my older son to Arlington cemetery for a visit. I wish my father had! I've been there three times in the past three years though I never dared to go there in uniform as it is very tough to keep your composure. I don't know of any place that has moved me as much as Arlington, the silence is deafening. The last time I was there (Nov) I had to restrain my wife. While we were waiting for a precession a car broke through and she lost it. I just don't understand how people can be at that place and not have the patience to wait for people in mourning.
