gjd6640 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) I'm not much of a videographer but here is some video that I shot this Friday at the Run N Gun 2010 event at MPH: That yellow Stalker is an LS3-powered 480hp beast. Enjoy! ** Edited to correctly identify the make of the yellow car - thanks MHKFlyer52 & jbanker! ** Edited September 27, 2010 by gjd6640
jbanker Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 The yellow Se7en is not a Caterham. It is a Brunton Stalker. It does have an LS3 under the bonnet.
MHKflyer52 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 The yellow 7 number 17 I do belive is a Super Stalker and not a Caterham. Sure looks different with the sprint car style wing on top and in front of the windshield area. Still neat to see.
WestTexasS2K Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 That is John Meyers in his SuperStalker now powered by LS3 Chevy. He is smoking fast he ran the Ultimate Track Car Challenge this year he did really well I don't remember his final place. I bet he was first at Run N Gun. He is a super nice guy too.
Kitcat Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 He was 3rd at the Ultimate Track Car deal, his top speed there was 170 mph. With a pretty minimal roll cage.
jbanker Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 This is a news video from Hastings, NE regarding the 2010 RNG event. The first guy being interviewed is our buddy John Meyers who has the LS3 powered SuperStalker. This is a great event the use to be held at Gateway Intl near St. Louis, MO. Sounds like everyone really likes the new venue. http://www.khastv.com/sports/more-local-sports/Motor-Sports-Park-Hastings-gears-up-for-big-weekend-103750944.html Jack
Hank Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I wonder if the wing in that particular location on that yellow Seven works well or not?
WestTexasS2K Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Hank John ran mini sprints for a long time. He really likes the wing. If it didn't work I don't think it would still be there. He claims improved stability at high speed. We have had the same experience with our car. He has been running that for a few years.
Mondo Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Plus it looks like it could provide some shade & rain protection;)
