S1Steve Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Last summer we were at the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica. We stayed around till dark to see the lava roll down the volcano. I asked the guide how long would we have to live if it really lit off, he said 6 to 8 seconds. He said the gases would kill you first . And we were 500 yards from the bottom.
