FS Avon CR500 and Caterham 15" Wheels

Recommended Posts

Up for sale is a set of Avon CR500 tires and Caterham 15" wheels. The tires are size 195/45-15 and the wheels are 6.5 x 15. Used for just 1400 miles before upgrading to wider 13" wheels and tires. Replacement cost would be $1,596 plus shipping from the UK. I'll let them go to a good home for $750 plus shipping. They would be a nice upgrade for any Caterham owner that wants the current style wheels. They came with a 2009 kit and have very little wear. I have not taken the tires off of the wheels and they look fantastic.

More extras to follow.

SOLD in record time! And they could not be going to a better home.

Never mind, I was just thinking how great that they looked on Karl's car, and was going

to ask about the off-set. But they will look great on Mike's car too.

Mike what are doing? Are you planning on going off roading? Or are you converting your 7 into a Monster truck with those huge rims.

Nice choice Mike. They are a great tire for the seven. Having driven a with a set of CR500s on my new seven I was amazed how sticky they were to kick up all the gravel. Wish I had got a set earlier.

So Tom how is your garage queen going? I think Bessie's sister Bertha is thinking of copying her older sibling and joining up here... :jester:

They are the same size as my Prisoner wheels and the tires are actually narrower than my RA1's. Since my RA1's are now bald, they will be my dry weather tires. Karl's will be my wet weather set.

After all the tire discussion here, it will be interesting to do my own mini-comparo. Stay tuned.

Pretty funny Croc. I did a trackday at NJMP a week ago Saturday, and have another one planned for this Friday if the weather holds.

The car ran well. The driver needs more track time. The track was a little wet from the night before and was not fun on slicks. Won't do that again.

If I ever get the video to load on YouTube, I'll post it.

Gararge queen my (l)

Getting close to the time to see who's really in for the trackday in June. I hope you don' use some silly excuse like work to avoid it.

I am not sure I will like my car in yellow, even with those nice wheels :). Thx, actually they look great , as hoped.

BTW; that Cat seems to have a lot more sky between the tire and front fender, than mine does.
