Perhaps I should have prefaced this by asking why many feel that the T-9 is a better choice than a 4 speed. They don't seem to be very common or plentiful!

 

Is there virtue merely the addition of an overdrive?

Quaife make a more expensive box that mates right up to a zetec with a much more appropriate choice of ratios.....

Thanks Ian but sadly our budget doesn't stretch as far as Quaife, unless soemone had one at firesale prices!

 

I THINK I am close to a deal for a T-9 from Ross' suggested source. Will advise the group if/when the ad becomes redundant.

I have a buddy that is a XR4TI fan and he deals with Merkur Midwest a lot, Jeff is the guys name I think, nice guy to deal with. You should have no problems.
