why not re-open the "cars for sale " section to everybody, I mean ,come on, it is probably the section most look at first ?

Anyway, most of the sevens listed in this section are found by paid up members who re post the cars for sale by non paids that they have discovered, which is a boon to everyone as these cars are not falling out of the trees.

I wrote the owner of the add, but have not heard anything back.

Looking at the add, I am unsure if this is actually a 2012 kit though. The headlight brackets look like they are the same as on my 1999 Birkin.

It looks like it's closer to a 2002 model than it is a 2012. The fact that it has the Zetec setup sure points to an earlier Birkin than 2012. Let us know if you hear back from the owner.

The fact the ad says it has a Painless wiring kit suggests to me that it's 2001/2002 as well--better designed seats but still old-style Birkin wiring.

If British Columbia is like my Quebec experience (with a Caterham), it won't matter when he bought the kit, or what year Birkin claims they produced it, the car will be titled as the year he presents it to their version of DMV. That could be why he claims its a 2012....

Yes, BC is that way - it will be the year it is registered. Wait long enough, it will be a 2013 even :p

I can try to look at this car, if anyone is really interested. I don't live too far away. I thought that there could be a problem with the aluminum skin around the driver's side entry point. Take a close look at the photos and see for yourself. It seems a bit shy of the correct amount, but it could be just fine. Cool car, either way.
