Well, if you can read this, you have found the new forum :hurray:

If you are having trouble logging in, it is because I was not able to migrate your passwords very easily.

Please follow the login link, and click on "Lost Password", in the following page, enter your email and userid. You will get an email with a new VERY CRYPTIC password. Use that to log in and reset your password to whatever you like.

The new forum has some new and improved features, but will take some getting used to.

The latest pain with the old package was attaching pics. This feature seems to work much better with the new forum (including not cutting off the pictures).

I will add to this post as I find useful instructions.

SOME UPDATES:

Sigs and avatars should now be working.

Some of the new features / better working features:

1- links that you put in as part of your posts will work more consistantly

2- attachments to posts will hopefully work alot better. To attach a pic, make the post, then come back and click "attach" after the post has been made. This is cluncky and I will improve it soon, but it displays the pictures (does not cut them off), and hasn't errored out on me yet.

3- At the bottom of the forums page, there is a list of most recent topics, so you get a flavor of what's going on around the forum.

4- There are a ton of enhancements in user memberships, user groups, etc... that I will tap into in the coming week

5- Private message notifications don't quite work like before - it looks like you only get the pop up if you log in (I'm not sure if that's the trigger).

No test....but a question: How do I change my password from the automatically generated one to something new?

Thanks, Gert

Click on "My Profile" in the little menu bar, and then select "Edit Profile." There are fields for old and new passwords near the bottom.
