Plug wires question

Recommended Posts

Need a set of 4 x 28in straight both ends plug wires for the Crossflow. Thought I would pick up something off the shelf as sems simple enough but no such luck.

Any recommendations for an easy source without resorting to a DIY cut and budge route from a kit?

Just measured the resistance in my plug wires, original '93 Lucas Silicone, three were around 7400 ohms, one was 11,400. Would that be enough variation to effect performance? Would be easy now to replace them all with carbs off and dizzy in plain sight......

I've had good luck with Taylor's, but MSD has high quality "build your own" kits. I'm not familiar with the Spiro-pro kits from pegasus...

New wires tend to be 4-6Kohm from what I've measured. I would definitely replace tony.

Dave bean, JAE, Pegasus, BAT and Tony Ingram would all be happy to sell you a set of plug wires. In general, for a street car it probably isn't too big of a deal. You just want to make sure they don't get bent, chafe, etc.
