Rear wheel arch to tire clearance..

Am I the only one that thinks this looks a bit "Dune Buggy"?

I think this is the (cosmetic) Achilles heal on this car, just looks so odd sometimes while all else looks so right, was there are a reason back then?

Anyone know of a lowered lip rear wing to hide the gap>?

Its about right by the time you load up the average doofus seven owner who is 40-60, balding, 200-250+ pounds and a fat wallet as the car will settle down on its rear springs quite nicely and the gap looks normal. At least thats how the cars look when driving.

The alternative really does not bear thinking about. I dont think I would want to drive around in a car with a rear end that looks like a dog with worms dragging its bum along the ground.

Lol.

I've always associated the worm infested Fleabag stance with front wheel drive cars.

I'm going to try a shorter spring to reduce rear arch gap as long as it does not negatively impact the handling.

in most 7's its possible to run a tire that fills the fender better. in my case i use a dampening and height adjustable suspension so i can run the car lower and still maintain a proper firmness without rubbing.

here is my car with 18" and 255/45 size tire. it fills out perfect.
