NZ Lotus 7 forum snow run

Hi guys we had another snow run on the weekend with 5 members from the NZ Lotus 7 forum, its was bloody cold about 6deg F, not quite as much snow as last year as it was quite a few days old. After being over in Aussie for 2 weeks I can tell you my nuts were freezing off...now Alaskossie is going to turn up here and say that aint cold but it sure felt cold to us :blush:

You beat me! I drove 40 miles in 15 deg F weather one January to get the car inspected for its registration renewal. The cold just ate into my face, my fingers, ears, eyes, torso, etc at 65+mph.

 

Which of the Christchurch ski fields was this one?

 

Apart from its really pretty what possessed you to make a drive this time of year?

Croc we passed Porter Heights, Mt Cheesman and Craigiburn ski fields on the way to Arthurs Pass. What possessed us....nothing we like to drive our cars

 

About a week earlier the snow was like this, but I missed it as I was surfing in Noosa in 22deg water and 21deg sunshine.

Beautiful pictures Stephen, very familiar after living through a few winters in Blenheim and driving across to the West coast.

"Steaks" I am afraid Australia beats New Zealand in the steak department.

I agree on Aussie steaks being better. :iagree:

 

However, NZ is renowned globally for its lamb. After all they have such a close and personal relationship with the sheep. New Zealand...The land where men are men and sheep are scared!

Great pics kiwi, true seven owners, drive just because you can! The orange car has interesting looking side screens, custom built by the look of them, would love to see more in detail pics of them. If he wants to share...cheers.

Wow,

I spent several years living in central Maine and now won't even go somewhere if they have cold weather, and you all decided to do that snow trip AGAIN! Your braver men than me, or maybe slightly less sane. LOL. Beautiful pictures, even if I did get the shivers just looking at them. Going outside now to sit in the nice hot sun and get very warm.
