Kitcat
Hey, I said I owned it, I didn't say I drove it:).
Croc
My Duratec gets better gas mileage than my little gashog X-flow. Err....mine does not better my old zetec. The Duratec is down to low 20s on road and low teens on track. The Zetec was mid to high 30mpg on road. The duratec has a nice sooty exhaust too! Must be my heavy right foot?
crewst
Out of concern for your mileage and soot problem, I'll allow you to swap engines with me, as I have the Zetec.
11Budlite
The Zetec was mid to high 30mpg on road. That was the SVT model, correct? That's amazing!
markmad
Best all round engine in a Birkin/7 must be and I believe they are available in the U.S is the Toyota 1600 20v .Its light ,powerful in STD trim ,easy to come by ,easy to fit and comes STD with ITB’s ,fairly light ,and cheap probably the first choice power plant when it comes to Birkins . Duratecs are largely over rated when comparisons are made referring to weight especially when it’s compared to the Vauxhall/Opel unit. I can go into detail here but will refrain from that.
