Turbcharged Caterham R400

Found on Craigslist. I have no affiliation or connection with this seller. It has been up for sale sporadically in FL over the last 2-3 years.

Yes, and what's more: "It looks silver".

 

Kinda hard to know what to make of this. Looks pretty awesome in some ways: pristine condition, lots of CF, great power. But, the rollover bars wld prbly not pass the laugh test at most track events. Interesting side mirrors w/integrated turn signals, tho not really true to the elemental design of the car. Interesting/ugly headlights. For the right person, sure.

I like it, and the mirrors... would eliminate the turn signals up front (headlights are a bit much). I don't know much about roll bars but is it much different than what Cobras use?

The tri-headlights are the Caterham Levante type.

 

The car was originally put together as a regular "normal looking" R400 with traditional headlights, mirrors and roll bar at Caterham USA. A photo of its original incarnation is on their website.

The headlights kind of remind me of a P-51 with six 50 cals pointed right at you.
