MHKflyer52
If the title say 1960 on it you should not have any problem I would think. Just my belief. Good luck.

mca
The SB100 title should read the year the car was registered, not the smog year used for engine certification.
rnr
The SB100 title should read the year the car was registered, not the smog year used for engine certification. Mine says year 0000

jimrankin
All cars registered under SB100 ar considered to be "Model Year 0000" no matter what you put down. I know it doesn't make sense that they will put in whatever year you tell them on the pink slip but it is still "0000" in the DMV data base for SB100. As for what you have to meet for equipment it is based on 1960 year vehicle standards. If it had to be on and work in 1960 to meet fed and state standards you have to have it. Lucky for us there were no bumper standards yet, hate to have to meet that one. There is also a California standard for cars under certain weight limits, which I beleive is still 1500 lbs, that allow us even more wiggle room on fenders and such. Don't know the DMV code for that one but it's what lets the street rods that meet the limit go fenderless and also concerns the windshield, or lack of, criteria. The DMV has a pretty good web site once you get used to how to get around in it. All of the state codes are there and in some cases it links them as to the area of your search. Klasik-69
What are they checking for in AZ ? In NC they have inspections but I don't think they stick anything in the exhaust to measure NO or CO2, and I'm not really sure if its more of a safety inspection than an emissions thing. Why would AZ be concerned with emissions ? All the illegals farting away from the tacos and enchalatas they eat would dwarf the emissions of diesel locomotive. It's a really neat state, by the way, and some of the areas in the northern half are breathtaking. If they give you any crap in AZ, come to Florida, they don't check anything here. You can run on bald tires with smoke belching out the exhaust bad enough to displace a mosquito spray truck and you're good to go. Brakes, lights, wipers, windshield..................none of that needed. Turn signals, no, a complete waste of time. Drivers aren't required to be able to see, hear or move either. 99 year olds driving around in a complete fog, never remembering where they were going, where they came from, or who the Hell they are................very user friendly here for those who couldn't drive anywhere else legally. Great state for doctors and lawyers.:ack:

coffee break
Georgia only has tail pipe checks in the Atlanta metro area. Outside the 22 county area your tail pipe stays unchecked.:driving:

rikker
Why would you want to bring politics into a general sevens question, there is a sub-forum below just for that. And when you talk of " Commie-California" , have you ever lived in a communist country? I have, it was a just a little bit different to California. Wish you well with your registration issues.
