JohnK
I mean, I'm all up for new technologies and looking fwd to the amazing collection of automotive stuff that's bound to arrive as the future becomes the present ... but seriously, wouldn't most of us feel pretty out of their time if they were to see this driving down the road and coming along side their Se7en? http://phys.org/news/2013-02-kor-ecologic-urbee-car-d.html I'd have trouble coming to terms with what the front of the vehicle was! Automoda
How come it weighs as much as our cars? Bone-like structures, 3 skinny wheels, and it weighs that much? They missed something. Perhaps too much glass or luxury or safety, but it is not pushing the lightness factor the way it should be. All you'd have to do is make a 7 with a titanium-tube frame and a light engine and you'd blow people's minds.

It's just not you John. If that pulled up next to me in the S1, I'd yell out " Hey is that a kit car"..... LOL

Mondo
Sounds like something IKEA would sale you (making pieces you put together). Here's my next commute car... 84mpg & comes with heater, AC & radio; don't know about cup holder http://www.eliomotors.com/

slomove
I don't know. Most of that looks like out of a Popular Mechanics magazine "car of the future" article from 1955 with bubble canopy and all. Well, maybe the tail fins are a little shorter. So for that matter I feel I have a newer car in comparison :hurray:

Boxologist
Curious on the rear mechanicals of the Elio. Might make a nice commuter. I won't need power locks in 1 seater. Duh. A reverse will be the make and break of it.
Mondo
It will be interesting to see how they can offer A/C, heat, 3 airbags, anti-loc brakes, 1 litre engine etc.. for $6800. It is front wheel drive, 5 speed or auto (with reverse)
