DeanG Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Washers for counter sunk screws; what are they called and where can I find them? I want to place them between the counter sunk screws and the parcel shelf (trunk floor?) in the back of my Seven.
Hettric Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) Tinnerman washers Should have added Aircraft Spruce. Edited October 6, 2013 by Hettric Add info
Paul Hill Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 The depressed centre ones are often referred to as "finishing washers". Home Depot or Lowes should be an easy source although they won't likely be stainless if that's what you were looking for.
coffee break Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 McMaster-Carr has a good selection http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-countersunk-washers/=ot55xh
super7guy Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Have seen some in circle track in the smaller size. These are the type that have rubber backing behind a larger washer.
DeanG Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 I'm down to 1 out of 4. The ones I'm looking for are just a tiny truncated cone with no flanges... Definitely not finishing washers. Similar to Tinnerman but without the shoulder.
Hettric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I have bought that style from Aircraft Spruce and Wicks aircraft, looks like Wicks doesn't have them anymore and the Aircraft spruce picture's has a slight rim. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/hapages/nas549washers2.php Here are some on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flush-No-8-Countersunk-Washers-/350862511407?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51b1090d2f
