BruceBowker Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) Name as many well known brands that have kept their distinctive grills (or reasonably close) throughout the years. As an example, Rolls Royce. Edited December 7, 2013 by BruceBowker
xcarguy Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 The now defunct Pontiac; for the most part, two separate grills openings throughout the years. BMW; again, two separate grill openings. Mercedes, to some extent; narrower bottom/wider top opening. Buick; while not totally consistent, Buick grills have been, and remain, a single opening with with vertical separators (for lack of a better term). Bugatti; primarily, a horseshoe design and very consistent. Aston Martin; not sure what the shape is, maybe a mustache? Maserati; who can miss the trident? If we can count trucks (semi types), how about Kenworth? Of course, Lostus 7; ya think? :jester:
BruceBowker Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 Have to argue Maserati. That is only the logo. I would say Rolls, Alfa and BMW have had the longest running grills that are distinct.
BruceBowker Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 Does the diagonal on the Volvo count? Never thought of that. Yes that has been around a long time. I always know its a Volvo when I see that diagonal.
