I don't chime in often, but feel the need now. Oklahoma is flat, interspersed with some lovely rolling elevation changes. Kansas is just flat but has a lot of other stuff going for it. I hope our wonderful Aussie friend isn't turning into an East Coast elite. : ) Steve

Hey Dan, Read your blog yesterday, rereading parts of it today. Nice blog! And you guys are doing a really nice job. Can't help but smile when reading about some of your frustrations with the manual. It reminds me of when my brother and I built a Donkervoort back in the mid-80's. The manual was in Dutch. But I remember a lot more of the tedious stuff was already completed, so it wasn't that bad. Thanks a lot. I see what you mean now by a lighter flywheel actually actually being worse for a lower torque rated transmission (as the torque comes on more quickly I believe). The articles were helpful too. Steve

I know a lighter flywheel doesn't lower torque, but would it be "easier" on a transmission? In other words, with an engine whose torque rating exceeds the transmission's torque rating, would a lighter flywheel (less inertia) make it less likely that the transmission will break? Thank you, Steve

I found Tom's TTS cite very interesting. I found this TTS Performance video/dyno results on Youtube (address below). The dyno run results on the video indicate a stock Duratec 2 liter with an hp of 167.67 and with a Rotrex supercharger hp of 319.49 with .9 bar boost. The test was run on a Westfield. This seems absolutely amazing to me. Could anyone tell me the downside of such huge power gains (besides cost) using a supercharger? Wouldn't this be a good way to increase power without rough idling or a sudden power band jump which can occur with headwork etc. . . ? Thank you, Steves
