  1. It's all on the company's dime so gourmet here I come:cheers:
  2. I will be in England from the 4th to the 8th on Business. I may have some free time if anyone will be available to grab a pint or have a blat. I will be staying here: http://www.lakeisle.co.uk/index.htm Uppingham. My company is in Corby. I will not have a car which stinks:nonod: The 5th is bonfire night in England. Celebrating the burning of Guy Fakes, a conspirator who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. looking forward to some festivities. Best, Robert
  3. A friend of mine in Cleveland bought one from Canada and could not plate it in the U.S. to save his life. He ended up selling it. The only viable option on getting one on the U.S. highway here in Ohio seems to be buying a 240sx and swapping the vin tag over to the skyline. I have friends that have done this with Ford Sierra cosworths as well. Go to England with a Merkur vin tag in hand, buy a sierra cosworth, swap the vin tag and ship the car to the U.S. pretty simple but a little on the shady side.
  4. members are coming out of the woodwork it seems:eek:
  5. OH! I thought I saw 40 away.... New Estimate October 31st :jester:
  6. I have the RA1's formerly from Mazdas car and all i can say is wow. What a difference from crappy 20 year old street tires. wonderful feel and tremendous grip. i don't drive the car long distances so I am unsure how long they will hold up.
  7. come and check out my car if you are interested. I am in Toledo, Ohio. It needs some work but it runs and drives great and you can own it for the right price. It is a Rotus and can fitted with a V8 easily however it is currently running a toyota 3tc 4 cylinder and is a heck of a lot of fun as is.
  8. Have you sent these hats yet? I have not received mine yet. Regards, Robert
  9. I have a small high spot in my driveway that just put a huge dent and crack in my oil panasI backed in the driveway. I thought I had enough clearance, I guess not.:banghead:
  10. I bought my car in Maryland and trailered it back to Ohio. It was titled in Maryland as a kit car and ohio had no problem with that. The lady asked me what to put on the title rather than give me a hard time. The cop inspected it because it was out of state but was only concerned about the vin matching the title. I guess they just figured it was some kind of crazy car but it has been titled in Maryland since 1985 so it must be fine. I have had much worse scenarios at the DMV with much more well known cars. Good Luck
  11. Dennis was very nice. i did not stick around long. I asked him about the latches he sells and he said they would not fit my application. I suggest we go through the U.K. and get those. i was kind of time crunched so i could not hang out at Dennis's and see all he had in his garage. i can say what a beautiful peaceful place to live and work on cars. i would like to retire to place like that:cheers:
  12. The trip to Maryland was worth every minute just to have a ride in Mazda's car. Plus a great deal on some parts. He gave me a great ride.:hurray: All I could say was wow and thank you. I equate it to as much fun as skydiving except on four wheels. Scary fast:eek: I can't thank Mazda enough for the ride and the great deal on parts. As for why I did not pick up the rear axle. I decided if I am going to upgrade i should have a limited slip so I am holding out. I also stopped at Dennis Hedges place on the way down. What a beautiful setting. It reminded me of a plce I went in England that was actually a chop shop for Ford Sierra Cosworths. It took me 18 hours round trip with a few stops but the trip was great. I now have my wheels mounted and will mount my cycle fenders this week. The new wheels look great and fill out the car much better than my old skinny 14x6 wheels did. Thanks again  Robert
  13. I second the vote for a frapper map. I too would like to meet up with fellow seven owners in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana, for a drive.
  14. I will tip a few back tomorrow while thinking of all the fun you guys are having. I will for sure make it to the next 777 event though:jester: safe travels:d
  15. sorry i meant for this to be in the specialty plate topic. I hit new topic by accident.:jester:
  16. It is Kate- Trum. I have been to the factory and to the dealership in England and that is how they pronounce it. I said cat er ham the first time I met the guy and he laughed at me but then corrected me. I was glad to be corrected by the guy who runs the factory.
  17. I just ordered ROU007. I will take a pic when I get it mounted.
  18. Anybody have a pair they want to sell. Let me know.
  19. Here is a link that might help you locate someone in the Baltimore area. http://web.fluidpower.eaton.com/public/distributorlocator/DistributorLocator_Public.aspx
  20. awesome. Time for some updated photos.
  21. Do you have an aeroquip store around? We actually have two custom hose shops around that mainly deal with heavy equipment but they are open to the public. Does this mean you will be selling your old braided stainless brake lines? I need them. I have the crappy rubber ones with springs around them and they are going to break any time now.
  22. Thanks again Rob. I had a great time. It was very interesting all the little differences between our cars. I thank you again for the grill and the beer too:cheers: I will call again when I come back to Atlanta and maybe we can get a ride in. Robert
  23. Awesome. How's the project coming? I am in Atlanta this week and I am hoping to hook up with Rob Mitchell tomorrow to check out his Rotus.
