  1. Yep, and when management says “ I’ll get those for your birthday “ the worker gets all warm and fuzzy.
  2. Thanks @sltous for the heads up on the Facebook seller, picked them up on Friday. Brad also had some odds and ends left over from his car, I picked up a heated windshield, speedo and some wiper blades. He still has some weather gear, hood and doors I think if someone is looking. New slippers shot…
  3. This is what I measured on mine plus the tank label information.
  4. There is some seriously learning going on here @Vovchandr I’m giving you an “atta boy” for grinding away at it. Watched the videos on the coolant. Apologies if you’ve already done it or have it on the list of to do’s. After all the disturbance and freeing up of gunk in your coolant system, I would definitely get the radiator out and back flush it. I would have it out so I can get it on different angles to allow the back flush flow to get at any deposits. The hole sizes internally in a radiator aren’t large and easily blocked/restricted. Mine (practically new) gets up to 98 degrees Celsius in a heartbeat in stop/go traffic (fans come on, they turn off at around 90-92 degrees Celsius, temperature sits at about 75-80 when cruising) and if anything was blocked it’d be a loosing battle. Plug color, I agree with the others as to “The art of reading” you’ve got items ahead on the list that will change what’s happening in there, I’d add it to the list of things to update. I agree with @Croc about not opening things up yet, keep with the methodical system by system approach so you know what caused what or what affected what, that’ll be money in the future. Again, well done persevering and documenting it. Very useful for all.
  5. I can now answer the second part of the question. Yes, definitely got the right version. The car is intended for management and myself to spend time together puttering about. Last week we had a glorious morning drive, didn’t break 50 mph the whole drive and management loves the burble and relaxed pace as we go 1-3-5 through the box… all civil as can be, any of the range of available models except maybe the 620 ( sequential’s liking a bit of pace to be smoother) would suffice. Next day, solo, on my mountain road, my estimation is that other models would have me chasing for the sweet spot or in the 620’s case just being nuts. The road I get sporty on gives the most when driven a smooth 60-80, the spec of the 420 allows this to happen in one gear (4th or 5th depending on mood/traffic) there is enough rev range to mitigate the need to change gear and enough torque to clear traffic or mumbo out of the tighter corners. Granted other models would all have their charm/style/rewards and if I was pushed to pick I would go Super Seven 1600 because clams, pizza cutters and a healthy can do attitude is a great recipe for joy. However for the now, management and I have the right model.
  6. From the album: Toys

Decided to for go a SADEV and flappy paddles for the minute and go with a sequential box that comes with free wheels, frame, traction control, 3 way adjustable shock etc, etc

The play pen... some gone... some remain
  8. For those cannot get it to stick locations, some 3M primer 94 applied carefully with a small paint brush will and allowed to dry will get results. Works brilliantly with edges when doing vinyl wrapping. caution, use tiny amounts on paint brush you don’t want runs of any sort on paint.
  9. At the peddle face on my SV I measure the width at 12 3/4”, heat mat will add 1/8”to 3/16”.
  10. Found an existing hole and drilled it out so I could fit a pen magnet inside the hole. Using another magnet (from an old motorcycle tank bag, really strong for it’s size) I moved the rivets to the enlarged hole, which is where you then play the game of getting rivet to stand vertically on the pen magnet. Hours of fun. I thought I had them all but based on the sound of the continued rattle I’d guess I have the same amount to yet get out, just got find what frame tubes they are in... how’s it go... part of the charm
  11. The rattle from rivets in the frame irks me no end, don’t know if Nigel at Caterham was having a bad day or I got a Monday car... best of luck Extracted so far ...
  12. Caterham, 2016 build, titled and on the road in 2018. Two owners prior to me and had 2788 miles on the gauge when we brought it on 7/15/2020. Currently has 3952 miles. Due to the new rules at the DMV post COVID-19 the first title/registration opportunity was 9/23/2020. That didn’t go as planned as signatures by the previous owner in pencil ( Nevada DMV has a machine to check) are a no go. We had done 523 miles at this point. Second appointment on 12/22/2020 went as planned with significant help from Shirley at the DMV who just demolished the road blocks the millennial management meddlers kept throwing at us. We had done 1164 miles prior to this point and the car was tucked up for winter. Finally got my plates 2/2/2021.
  13. First attempt at a polish, used Zephyr pro 40, foam pad and polisher on 1600 rpm. No prior experience so very cautious, messy as job... you all with full paint are a smart bunch, I do like the look though and practice will help.

  15. Nice, amazing the options you get when you have the right word to search... I’m finding them for cheap as chips on multiple sites. Thanks for the info... fingers crossed I’m aways from needing it.
  16. Agreed, full rewire is not economic at those prices. I’m coming from the motorcycle world so I’ll offer this guy in New Jersey. Have brought from him with no problems. If you’re doing a full rewire there is the opportunity to minimize/remove the amount of spade connectors and motorcycle stuff (sealed and small) might work. Some planning no doubt. link http://www.cycleterminal.com/index.html
  17. Never brought anything from them but maybe a source. https://www.espressocare.com/products/item/female-spade-connector-cover
  18. All installed, a good improvement over the kero and wick setup.
  19. Change to these for lenses as the originals had internal fading/haze.
  20. High/Low capability, heat sink inside the lense so true plug and play. Not on their website as the don’t sell a bunch. Good company though and good lights, I’ve had 6 (Not H4’s of course) on my RAM for two years, they do work.
