  1. Mondo, yes you are correct.. even when your surrounded by the terrible roads we have in Michigan...lol
  2. And for you Dyno chasers Chevy finally published a vid for the small block on the Dyno gotta love a Dyno on a gimble.
  3. Not going for a hijack but if you like Vettes..and commercials. The teasers are out for the C7 http://www.chevrolet.com/one13thirteen.html Since this is out we can finally talk about it..alittle, LOL
  4. It's a British made bed...the pan is leaking...
  5. Amazing simply amazing....I really should take a writing course...love the first line...nuff said.
  6. 7evin, the only thing that should have been uncomfortable about your custom one should have been that they don't/didn't breath (sweat). I use to sell/install custom hearing protection so I kinda know what i'm talking about. I have a hard time wearing foam crushables they expansion gives me a headache after 30min or so. Foam ones give a db rating..IF THEY ARE PUT IN THE WAY THEY ARE DESIGNED! most people don't put them in as far as they are suppose to. I stopped selling because I didn't like the travel, people b!tching about price annndddd those seemed to be the people that didn't clean their ears....ever, yuck! The Earfuse one you have shown look like a good wind break and earbud holder but for best db reduction the stuff should to go in farther. (I couldn't find their db ratings) That being said, anything is better than nothing as long as its worn. ( if you install your own... we use to have your mouth open, about 1/4,1/2 inch or a Sharpie or clean finger, we used disposable foam blocks) seems to open the ear slightly so you can talk/yell and not have as much sound bypass. Did you call the company you bought your custom one from? they should do something to keep you happy. If that was sounding like a rant its not intended to. Cheers Tony
  7. Optional rims on Caterhams in the "old" days, some books say 13x6 but on the rim says 13x5 1/2 I forgot to mention in my add that I when I was in Colorado I pcked up The "7" grill (NIB), a "SUPER SEVEN" valve cover(New no box)lol, new brakes (doesn't need brakes but i was there and they had them) includes frt disc/pads and rear drums/shoes, the aero screen (carbon fiber) also has the side mirrors (Carbon fiber) just haven't installed them, the center rear view (carbon fiber) you can see in the pics. and the wipers/motor is in a box, my knee hit the bolts and its not like it goes out in the rain. The front suspension has the wider lower A arms installed the originals come with it. Cheers Tony
  8. BP, price lowered to $19,900 or reasonable offer Thanks Tony
  9. If anyone wants other pics or info you can contact me at a.immers@yahoo.com We haven't been using it, and with two grandkids...they want to go at the same time so the icecream getter is my 67' jeepster that we've had since new. Its a 75 Cat that wasn't titled from the first owner. I titled it when I picked it up (90'), unlike some other "brand new" old cars. I could have titled it a 75 but I wanted it on the road quickly, I picked it up to have fun with my father that had the big "C" and didn't to do paperwork at that time. Thanks, Tony
  10. First fifteen years that I owned it drove it to work and play, now with all the road constuction around here= stike one, first grandchild we went everywhere now he has a sister that goes with me also...so I take the 67'Jeepster Commando that we bought new, it has the extra seat. So usage has been slowing down the last five years, last two she kinda sat:( thats also why I just put it up on C/L. Can't stand to see her not getting exercised. BTW they both love the little car but taking one at a time just don't get it... When I drove it to work everyone used to stop and watch me get in and out, it was even better when I kept the top on. 6'2" and at the time 230lbs LOL now i'm up 10:( and yes I still fit LOL have fun in your search they are great fun i've had mine for 20yrs... Tony
  11. I just looked at your ground clearance numbers... heck you almost have a dune buggy! I'm at 3 1/2 at the oil pan, 5 under butt, 3 3/4 under the rear suspension triangle...then I load my tiny self in (6'2" 245lbs) and the under butt number drops a little over an inch. LOL. Glad your back together now and it wasn't a major rebuild. score: tony 1, squirrel 0 (luckly he ducked and missed the nose. but couldn't limbo low enough for the oil pan) Tony
  12. I've always kinda liked the Black Brick.....and the other ones kind interesting also... Cheers Tony
  13. Don't use anything with ammonia in it or citrius (lemon simple green, etc.) if it gets in behind the rivets or between two panels you could get corrosion. Went to a forum at Oshkosh(warbird area exhaust stain removal) they compared ez-off oven cleaner to lemon simple green and the ez-off was less corrosive on aluminum.( If it sits and stays wet like a lap joint or your rims and tires.) Tony
  14. When I was at Oshkosh a few years ago I talked to a guy that won grand champion on a little cessna he has way more to polish than we do.. He uses purple sparkle glass cleaner(no amonia) and seals it with glass wax(its a liquid). That's what I use after I do the polish/rubout. And the purple sparkle doesn't attack plastic, paint etc... If a guy does his wings(top/bottom), fuselage, and tail feathers....I'll roll with his method for the vast amount we have..LOL Tony
  15. I do not know of this "painted" area you speak of...interesting concept caterham sells a "sill protector" pn 77329 stainless steel, from an old parts list under $30.00 Cheers Tony
  16. Oh.. yes it does, but I can't see a cup holder from this angle. Even My old Kubota had a drink holder (fizzy to flat in 3.5seconds!!) BTW youtube is a bad thing typed in fast tractor and the guy from Europe shows up with a cool sounding farm tractor...and.... the guy with a 750 honda engine and a volvo rear end. So using logic one could say... buy another busa engine put it under the stripes and you would only have to keep one kind of spark plug, for spares in the garage and the mower would have a much more, entertaining sound to it;) Cheers Tony
  17. Sooo.. what yer sayn is the westie is going to have a reeeaaalllyyy low profile belly mower on it....but only to add suction for added cornering grip cheers Tony
  18. Couple of you guys are funny... words like comfort, fit, pedal room and looking through the windshield  6'2" 235ish give or take 10lbs seasonal..size 13 shoe(either those Pumas or Worth Nomex) 36"ish waist sesonal(jeans) NO WALLET i'm longer in torso tan legs 33" inseam. Fit... thats what the Yukon XL is for (and it has a heater more than just the headers). Awhile back my wife saw a Westie that she likes..... but i'm not to sure...how can I keep it from barking/sneezeing in my ear if I make a small kennel for it between the rollbar rear supports...although i'm going deaf in the left ear guess it would even it out. kindof a highjack but couldn't resist cheers Tony PS Had it for 20yrs this fall its better than Jenny K or WW for a reason to not get "bigger"
  19. At 6'2" and 235lbs.. ish, I don't put weight on any thing not supported by steel I hate the sound of f/glss stressing. Although I probably could and not worry Cheers Tony
  20. Thinking about the removable wheel haven't had the real want yet, and always wanted a push button starter, somtime...this fall i'll have had it for 20yrs of fun. Never really worried about it driving off. Its gone from one side of Detroit to the other and to work at Jeep engineering and Highland Park(not daily thats the Yukon) and so far never had a problem and never worried much either. But I also took a math class alonnngg time ago that had a problem that read 8+1=45 some guy named Sam was the prof. Side note the engineer before me caught a bullet walking across the road the week before I started at Jeep...also the drunks, pimps, hookers and crack hoes thought the car was cute, just kinda makes your day when the car has that broad of appeal:lol: Cheers Tony
  21. 24hr races..1992 Nelson Ledges 24 in Ohio overall win by 7 laps after 990 laps..2002 Nurburgring 24hr 11th over all 10 laps ahead of its class. Worked briefly with Nearn on the GM EV1 back in 92 so got part of it from him back then. Both are listed on the Caterham UK site as big wins against the big guns cheers Tony
  22. I didn't get a ticket for the lack of plate. The lack of plate is an "out of towner" and they think automatic mail in (no fight) thats what the lady said that made my court date, NOT me taking a guess or thinking paranoid thoughts about the PD. That and the fact not that many in the Springs have ski boxes on top (Denver, yes Springs, no) I kinda stood out in the crowd. When I talk to many of the miltary out there the local PD is not all that GOV friendly.Otherwise why did I get the ticket (Three lanes of traffic, middle lane, second vehicle from the front) Lesson learned I guess i'm not going to be a lemming or sheep;) I do know that the guy with the mullet would NOT have had such a good day in the mitten. I also work with current and retired officers daily and a couple retired pross. attrn. BTW I still love Colorado just not to crazy about the Springs. Then there is Boulder but thats just....different, cool, but different. Going out there mid feb-march (south Denver) and visiting the Springs and will be doing the limit while i'm there. Peace out... I mean uh...Cheers Tony
  23. If you WANT to push buttons on people You could use the font that Hennesy uses Heretic, Heresy Nice tastfull script on the side or on the rear Either a wow color that stands out or a slight change of tone (silverish but not a bright silver) http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/ cheers my 2ct Tony
  24. Last ticket I picked up was in Co. Springs Co. year and a half ago. Goes like this a couple days befor we were on a long incline going down I70 toward Monument Co and the fuel pump was packing in on the Yukon pulling our 26' car hauler(full, way over gross) and we couldn't keep the speed up so pulled in the rest area near the summit and the local state patrol stopped and said if this was rush with traffic he could have given us a ticket for going to slow. We talked for a while he said weve been ticketing for going to slow so within reason keep up with traffic....Two days later in Co.Spring i'm in the middle of a pack of cars and I get popped for 12 over...Not happy, no break out of towner, no front plate(michigan doesn't have them). 35minutes later i'm in the court house changing my court date so we can take care of this before we go home (not taking a 120fee+court costs +4points) Two days later in court. Those that don't agree with your plea go to the side office..Talk to the court pross. and its reduced to the fee+ one point for obstructed vision..fine i'm out of here, stiil have to go in front of judge. in the court house the guy before me gets up gets the same 1pt (obstucted) and an 840 ticket +court cost ( so that would be 42 over in a constuction zone (x2) $10 per mph but he was dressed much better than I and had a mullet that would make Joe Dirt cry with envy.. Me..thank Judge, shake head, pay fine, leave. Only ticket before that was in 1981... Cheers Tony
  25. OK, can I get a mulligan on that one. I just came back home from Monument Colorado with one nap in Iowa for about an hour...but if you must know after sitting for 21 hours,Wendys,McDonalds and Chex mix... probably not that far off:lol: Tony
