  1. Hmmm Don't know what you are trying to say Seth. Having been there and done that (with the parts on the shelf to show for it) I recognize the lightened rear inside wheel on Mojo as a result of a too high rebound rate on the rear shock(s) and no anti-sway bar in the front. Independent suspensions are a bit more to tune than live axles but oh so rewarding once it's done! BTW, there sure is a LOT of expensive machinery BEHIND the S2K!
  2. As good as this sounds, we found here in the Detroit Region of SCCA that shipping the scales around and entrusting them to members who were not familiar with their use and care ended up being a real problem. Expensive damage and tardy shipping rendered them a liability in spite of our good intentions. We now only make them available at events and under the direction of a delegated "expert". chuck
  3. Take a look at the personal watercraft batteries. Prices are reasonable and they seem to last as long as the Odyssey in my Se7en.
  4. I made it...took me long enough, eh? Chuck
  5. Here in Michigan we often run at Waterford Hills Race Course. Although the track has been there since God made dirt, it is now surrounded by subdivisions. The homeowners have gotten the township to pass ordinances that keep "race cars" from running during the week. Only clubs and manufacturers running pretty much stock street mufflers are allowed and no race decals. Weekends are reserved for "race cars". In order to further bias the issue, "race cars" are deemed to be those that "look" like a race car. That is, decals, no windshields, open wheel, etc. Recently I believe the weekend noise limit of something like 95 decibels at 100' is being enforced. Not necessarily the same issues everywhere but kinda gnarly here. Chuck
  6. Al, Most stock ECUs will turn on the fuel pump for a certain cycle and then shut it off. It does this as a safety function in the stock calibration. This does not signify that the system is pressurized, only that the time has elapsed. When you take the engine out of it's factory atmosphere and install a tank and pump without an anti-drainback valve (foot valve?), it may take more than a short run for the pump to actually pressurize the system. Try turning the key on until the pump stops running several times to assure the system IS likely to be pressurized. THEN turn it over. My $.02! Ask me how I know! Chuck
  7. HOLY BLACK STREAKS! How did it feel? Loose? Stable? Is the grin still all over your face?
  8. It DOES seem backwards. I would say you can get a good start on this list by going to: http://www.bruntonauto.com/kit/Kit.htm Dennis probably doesn't make this list public to non-purchasers for a reason. Maybe you ought to commit to an order (read make a deposit) and THEN ask for this proprietary information. Maybe it's just me but that seems fair, doesn't it?
  9. Jerry, That is the actuator for the adjustable drivers seat, there's another on the adjustable pedal assembly. chuck
  10. You're right. I have an R180 rear end assembly here on the shelf but I am not too sure I need it with my puny little S2000 drivetrain! As I recall, the Nissan rear ends went even larger than the 200's. Loren, if you read this, what are the available units?
  11. Uhhh, 440? Holy torqued axles, Batman! I guess having light car allows the wheels to spin before anything bad happens to the axles, eh? If the time comes that you need to replace your present rear and axles, I have some ideas of what might work. Is your present setup and IRS?
  12. Got me, but they handle a WRX! Never had the teensie-weeniest bit of trouble from mine. Four+ years of autocross and track days plus 4000+ miles on the USA 2005 tour. What have you got in mind?
  13. The photo is of the Ultralite XR7 rear brakes. Pumpkin is the Subaru/Nissan R160 LSD, brakes are Wilwood 4-pots, rotors are Wilwood. Proprietary mounta for calipers and rotors. If you buy the rear brake system from World Class Motorsports this month,($38,750) the rest of the car is free!!! http://www.wcmultralite.com/
  14. Sorry, doesn't work for me! Send me an email address and I will send the photo for you to post. chuck
  15. I run them on my Ultralite S2K and XR7 but I can't figure out how to attach a picture. Help!
  16. Rob, See above. 41 cars were shipped from the UK via container ship, one came air freight $$$$$ and another 16-18 (it varied from day to day) came from the USA. Total was somewhere around 55-60 on any given day. We also had several support vehicles in an out of the trip as various helpful parties volunteered their trucks/trailers and motor homes to follow us sweeping up the casualties. Surprisingly, there were very few that actually needed transport at any time. chuck
  17. Hello all, My friend Jerry (Powderbrake) steered me over here. Looks like a nice forum and hope it does well. I also drive a WCM Ultralite S2K. Mine was one of the first built and has served as sort of a development mule for a lot of the features the new cars are delivered with at this time. My interest until this last fall was solely in Solo I and Solo II racing and occasional track days. We have had pretty good success with several SCCA regional and divisional championships. In September of 2005 I joined 41 Se7ens U.K. and several other european countries and 16-20 cars from the USA on the truly amazing USA 2005 Tour. We met in Houston on Sept 15 and toured for the next three weeks thru TX, NM, CO, UT, AZ, NV and CA, ending up at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. This experience has now kindled my interest in touring with my S2K. More later, thanks for hosting this site
