  1. Your numbers are slightly higher than mine on a per liter basis
  2. This is a beautiful car that Doug had down at the dragon. Even the cops were amazed at the build quality :jester:
  3. Bob, it's a 5 hour trip each way. I wasn't planning on doing any actual driving when we got there... Just sit around a camp fire, BBQ, a beer or two, and chill. Then head back Sunday morning. You are right - there isn't much in the way of repair shops or anything else on the way. Just mountain roads. And we don't have a chase car. Perhaps you can trailer the car to Monterey, WV and intercept us there. That way if something goes wrong, you're only 90 minutes away from the trailer - worst case.
  4. That is a great looking car.
  5. Sweet car! I had heard of it, but had never seen that site. Thanks.
  6. That's so true about anything Jeremy drives, EXCEPT the Corvette. :cuss:
  7. You should be able to do better. I looked through my emails, and I had bought mine for $109. Seller was the_keeper_73. Also, those displays have adjustable brightness.
  8. Her performance was so out of the norm, it required further analysis.
  9. At those prices you can have a nicely built Ultima with about 30K of additional engine work.
  10. Nice find.
  11. I always tell them upfront that it's a kit car - a clone of the Lotus 7. I don't want anyone telling their car buddies they saw a 7 blowing exhaust out both sides and be embarassed
  12. Clearly you need to come to snowshoe and put more miles on the car
  13. Litton MobilVu Here is one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Litton-MobileVu-Rugged-Mobile-LCD-Touch-Screen-Display_W0QQitemZ320151683752QQihZ011QQcategoryZ3698QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I thought I bought mine for just over $100 though. The only complaints I have are: the touchscreen kinda sucks. You're better off with some type of mouse, trackball or something else. It is also heavy at 7 lbs, but also very rugged. There may be other solutions with a few more $$$ I think some of the GPS / DVD in-dash displays, such as AVIC from Pioneer accept analog video input, and are bright. one solution would be to convert VGA to analog and feed it in. You'd lose some quality, but for what you need, it won't matter. The other thing about MobileVu, resolution is at 480X600. Make sure your computer can go that low before you buy. Hope this helps.
  14. Dude, you gotta join us!! Hope Laura sees I'm beggin'
  15. I'm thinking 10AM. I'm still waiting for final confirm from Scott Lentz. I know Harold keeps saying he's OUT, but maybe we can delay his build date so he'll come  So far, it looks like Scott, you (maybe), Harold (Probably not - busy making car noises ), OttoCycle (I have to ping him to make sure), Bob Drye (Possibly?), and me. 4 - 6 cars would be sweet.
  16. I was kinda thinking about going to Carlisle for the Corvette weekend last Saturday. They had a major disaster... Strong storms blew through. Destroyed a bunch of cars. Sent 12 people to the hospital, including one guy in critical condition. I don't think heat/humidity drops you from 200 to 170. That's kind of a drastic drop for a normally aspirated engine. But more qualified people can chime in on that.
  17. Well, that works out to 169hp at the flywheel. Given the heat and humidity, isn't that about right for your engine?
  18. Proposed route from Harrisonburg, VA to Snowshoe, WV... Sports car heaven
  19. so it looks like 147 hp and 122 ft.lbs at the wheels? Is this your baseline?

  21. Here is one
  22. I guess that qualifies as the "high end"
  23. Way back in the day, I worked on a few of those Morgans. There was a gray market importer in Virginia, and I used to convert some of those cars with the Rover 4 banger to propane for him. I drove a few of them. Unfortunately when I drove them, they never had seats in them. I guess at the same time he had to modify the seats...
